STADTRADELN starts in the district of Ludwigsburg on July 1. The aim of the international cycling competition is to cycle as many everyday journeys as possible in a climate-friendly way for 21 days. In addition to the good feeling of doing something for health and climate protection, attractive prizes are up for grabs.
The district of Ludwigsburg is also offering a special campaign this year: CITY CYCLING banners are hanging at prominent locations in many of the participating towns and municipalities. Anyone who visits at least six of them and documents this with photos has the chance to win one of five 50-euro vouchers for a local bicycle dealer.
The photo campaign aims to motivate citizens to explore the district municipalities by bike.
These towns and municipalities are taking part: Asperg, Benningen, Besigheim, Bietigheim-Bissingen, Bönnigheim, Ditzingen, Eberdingen, Erdmannhausen, Erligheim, Freudental, Gemmrigheim, Gerlingen, Großbottwar, Hessigheim, Ingersheim, Kirchheim am Neckar, Korntal-Münchingen, Kornwestheim, Löchgau, Ludwigsburg, Marbach, Markgröningen, Möglingen, Mundelsheim, Murr, Oberriexingen, Oberstenfeld, Remseck am Neckar, Sachsenheim, Schwieberdingen, Sersheim, Steinheim an der Murr, Tamm and Walheim.

The official kick-off event for this year's CITY CYCLING in the Ludwigsburg district will take place in Bietigheim-Bissingen on July 2, 2023 as part of the cycling action day. Cyclists are very welcome to attend the official welcome by District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier at 1 pm at the Enzpavillon. An additional incentive: The first 100 CITY CYCLING participants from the district who register at the district office stand will receive a food and drink voucher for the event.

CITY CYCLING is an international campaign of the Climate Alliance. Private individuals as well as representatives of companies, clubs, associations, institutions, cultural facilities, government offices and (high) schools join together in teams to collect as many kilometers as possible on bicycles and pedelecs for three weeks.
