Award ceremony with the health department at Ludwigsburg's Mörike Gymnasium

The art focus class 10d of the Mörike Gymnasium recently won prizes for their creative designs for the new design of the district-wide J1 campaign (youth health examination campaign) of the Ludwigsburg District Office of Health.

A group of ten individuals poses on a staircase, holding certificates and boxes. Some certificates display the text "URKUNDE" and "Vertrauliche Beratung." The diverse group represents a celebration of achievements, highlighting participation in health or advisory initiatives.

Dr. Uschi Traub (center 2nd row), District Office employee Filiz Ugur (2nd row right), principal Sylvia Sägersberg (back left) and art teacher Jakob Wächtersbach (2nd row left) are delighted with the prizewinners (Ludwigsburg District Office).

The winning design by Klara Zürcher and Mara Eschenbach provided the idea of the "Golden Ticket" for a healthy future. The idea is based on the Willy Wonka film "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". The slogan of the new campaign is "Check yourself! J1 - Your golden ticket to a healthy future". Flyers and posters for the campaign to increase participation in the J1 screening were also based on the "Golden Ticket" concept.

Dr. Uschi Traub, Head of Health Promotion, and her colleague Filiz Ugur presented the pupils and art teacher Jakob Wächtersbach with certificates and cash prizes. Second prize went to Nick Wülfers for his designs with memes. Third prize went to Acelya Atar, Cigdem Tuncer and Lara Hönig for the idea with youth language and gaming aesthetics.

According to Traub, the background to the competition was "the search for a modern campaign concept to appeal to today's seventh graders in their own language". Art teacher Wächtersbach was also enthusiastic: "It's great that the voice of young people speaks to young people in this project.

County-wide campaign now in its fifth year

The district-wide campaign to increase participation in the J1 screening for all seventh-graders is now in its fifth year. The HB Ludwigsburg women's handball team has taken on the patronage. In addition to the health department of the Ludwigsburg district office and the Mörike Gymnasium, the campaign's cooperation partners are the district medical association and the Professional Association of Pediatricians and Adolescent Doctors (BVKJ). The companies MSD and Copyshop Kornwestheim are also supporting the campaign. Members of the jury were pediatrician Dr. Thomas Kauth, art teacher Alexei Savinov, printing expert Steffen Ade, supporter Ursula Utpatel, Dr. Uschi Traub and two seventh graders.

The J1 is a free screening examination for girls and boys between the ages of 12 and 14, to which young people are legally entitled. The early detection of illnesses and risk factors that endanger physical, mental and social development during puberty offers the

opportunity to set the course in good time and take corrective action if symptoms are present

. In addition to the examination, counseling adolescents on issues relating to their physical and mental development, vaccinations and behaviour is an essential part of J1.
