After criticism of VVS rider safety: district points out that riders must adhere to guidelines and rules

The district authority, as the client of the VVS rider in the northern district of Ludwigsburg, makes it clear that it takes the criticism voiced about the safety of this popular means of transport seriously. The district authority will therefore point out to the contracted bus company that its drivers must adhere to the contractual requirements and the rules of the Highway Code.

A van with an orange and black design, labeled "Rider," is driving on a rural road surrounded by green fields and trees under a blue sky with fluffy clouds. The scene conveys a sense of travel and transportation.

The VVS-Rider is on the road in the northern part of the Ludwigsburg district.

According to the contract between the district and the bus operator, drivers are expressly prohibited from making phone calls during working hours - with the exception of calls required for business purposes using a hands-free system. In addition, in the event of conflicts between passengers, drivers must take the necessary measures, including asking passengers to leave the vehicle or calling the police. Finally, the General Conditions of Carriage of the Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Association (VVS) must also be observed. Fastening seat belts and observing the speed limit are regulated by the Road Traffic Act and do not require any contractual regulations.
