Minister Hauk MdL and District Administrator Allgaier visit Bosch company cafeteria

As part of the Food Days 2022, Minister Peter Hauk MdL and District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier visited the company catering of Robert Bosch GmbH in Schwieberdingen on February 17.

The Food Days, which will take place across the country from February 14 to 18, 2022, will be held this year under the motto "relaxed and regional enjoyment". At the various events, experts will offer tips and tricks for a healthy and enjoyable diet with special offers and will be available to consumers for a joint exchange.

"Consumer demand for regional and seasonal dishes is high, and catering establishments with a regional focus can impress their guests with an appropriately profiled offering. Company catering is an important partner when it comes to combining the aspects of sustainability, regionality, health and enjoyment. An attractive offer is the best guarantee that the guests, in this case the employees, are satisfied and that enjoyment is not neglected," said Peter Hauk MdL, Minister for Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection.

Company catering is an important component of occupational health management for Bosch."

At the meeting, District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier presented the services offered by the Middle Neckar Nutrition Center of the District Office, which acts as a competence center for food, drink and local food. Since mid-2020, the nutrition center has been focusing on digital events and cooking workshops, which are in high demand. "The processing of regional products and a conscious approach to food have always been part of the Nutrition Center's events," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.

The Ministry of Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection (MLR) is therefore committed to promoting good food in Baden-Württemberg, for example with the Food Days, which have been held once a year since 2015.
