District Administrator Allgaier visits the municipality of Ingersheim

District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier recently visited the municipality of Ingersheim as part of his district tour. After an exchange with Mayor Simone Lehnert, a short walk through the town center was on the agenda.

A man and a woman stand in front of a banner celebrating 50 years of a community. The banner features the number "50" prominently and includes the text "1972-2022." The setting appears to be a wooden interior, likely a community center or event space.

District Administrator Allgaier had to postpone his goal of visiting all 39 district municipalities and talking to the mayors in the district for some time due to the pandemic. The second stop this year was the municipality of Ingersheim, which has a population of 6,400 and is celebrating 50 years of the merger of Klein- and Großingersheim this year. The district administrator was already a guest at the ceremony on May 7.

During the current visit to Ingersheim town hall, many topics were discussed with Mayor Lehnert and her team. The mayor expressed her gratitude for the excellent cooperation with the district administration at all levels, with which there are many points of contact. The municipality works closely with the district, particularly on the topics of nature conservation and local public transport.

Simone Lehnert also reported on current projects and upcoming tasks together with the heads of office Carolin Knirsch, Lisa Sieber, Helen Bauer and Harald Schnabel, including the current renovation of the local thoroughfare with the barrier-free expansion of the bus stops and the construction of two additional bus stops at the Pleidelsheimer Straße / Talstraße junction, the new development area "In den Beeten II", the development of the "Bietigheimer Weg" industrial estate, broadband expansion and the preparation and establishment of a community development concept, which is now imminent.

In addition, many challenges were addressed, such as the reliable provision of childcare in line with demand, medical care for children in the municipality, the development of the town center and the new local supply for Kleiningersheim. District Administrator Allgaier and Mayor Lehnert assured each other that they would continue to work together as well as before and remain in mutual exchange.

At the end of the meeting, Simone Lehnert took the district administrator on a short walk through the town center and thanked him for his visit and his interest in Ingersheim's concerns and issues.
