District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier regrets that the emergency brake must now also be pulled in the district of Ludwigsburg: "For a long time, the district of Ludwigsburg was really exemplary with the incidence figures and was even below the value of 50 until the beginning of March." Recently, the number of cases has also risen sharply in the district due to the increased proportion of mutations.
In the district of Ludwigsburg, the 7-day incidence on March 24, 25 and 26 was above the value of 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants for three days in a row. This means that additional tightening measures prescribed by the Corona Ordinance of the state of Baden-Württemberg are coming into force.
According to the current Corona Ordinance of the State of Baden-Württemberg of March 29, the following now applies: No tightening of contact restrictions during the "emergency brake". The general regulation remains in place: A maximum of five people from no more than two households. This does not include children up to and including the age of 14. Couples who do not live together count as one household. Click & Meet" is no longer possible in the retail sector; "Click & Collect" now applies to these stores. Personal services, with the exception of hairdressers, are also prohibited. Music, art and youth art schools can only teach online. Tanning salons, museums, galleries, zoological and botanical gardens and memorials must remain closed. There are also further restrictions in the area of amateur and recreational individual sports.
The gardens of the Blooming Baroque can remain open to the public. This has been decided by the Ludwigsburg District Office.
According to the current legal situation, the restrictions no longer apply if there is a 7-day incidence of less than 100 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the district of Ludwigsburg for five consecutive days and the health department formally determines this.
According to Allgaier, the only solution is still to speed up the vaccination campaign. "I expect the state and federal government to provide us with significantly more vaccine for the district from mid-April," says Allgaier. Two months after the start of the district vaccination center, the average number of vaccinations per day has so far only been increased to around 700 vaccinations per day - with a theoretical capacity of 2,500 vaccinations per day at the district vaccination center.
