Ludwigsburg district declares heat warning level 1 and gives tips for hot days

The current high temperatures in the Ludwigsburg district are set to increase: from Sunday, June 29, 2025, until probably Wednesday, July 2, 2025, daytime temperatures of more than 32 degrees are forecast. This means that the criteria defined by the public health department for a district-wide heat alert have been met.

The steering committee established as part of the Heat Action Plan (HAP) declares heat warning level 1 for the district of Ludwigsburg and thus sets the alert chains in motion. The public health department has already alerted all local authorities and the relevant stakeholders, who, as provided for in the HAP, send the corresponding heat warning emails to the relevant target group via their distribution lists.

The warning emails warn the relevant areas, including local authorities, outpatient and inpatient care facilities, schools, doctors' surgeries and pharmacies, of the impending situation and the health effects, as well as advising them to use the information sheets and action plans.

Well prepared for the summer heat - tips for hot days

As temperatures continue to rise, the strain on health and well-being is also increasing. Especially during heat waves, high temperatures can lead to serious health problems. It is therefore important to take measures early on to prepare for the warm season in the best possible way.

A few simple but effective rules of conduct can help you get through hot days. For example, the midday sun should be avoided between 11 am and 4 pm. Sun protection by applying sun cream before going outside is essential. Activities such as shopping or sport should ideally be postponed until the cooler morning or evening hours. Sufficient fluid intake - preferably water or unsweetened tea - supports circulation and general well-being. A light diet also helps to avoid putting additional strain on the body in the heat.
