At the Ludwigsburg District Hall on July 13: Lecture on precautionary options Self-determined in all phases of life

Power of attorney, guardianship, care directive, spouse representation law and living will - what is behind the individual terms? This and other questions relating to self-determination in all phases of life will be the subject of a lecture by Dr. Iva Slavova-Rempfer on July 13 at the Ludwigsburg District Hall. Afterwards, there will be an opportunity to exchange views and ask questions.

Anyone who is no longer able to manage their own financial and legal affairs as a result of illness or an accident needs someone to take care of them. If no arrangements have been made in advance - for example by drawing up a power of attorney or a care directive stating who the court should appoint as a caregiver - the care court generally determines who will take over the legal representation of a person who is unable to make decisions.

Visitors will find out which form of advance care directive is the right one in each case, what options exist and what mechanisms are in place if the advance care directive has been forgotten in advance

on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 4 p.m.

in the large conference room at the Ludwigsburg District Office.

The speaker will be Dr. Iva Slavova-Rempfer from the care authority at Ludwigsburg District Office.

After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to exchange views and ask questions.

The care authority is the specialist department in the district office that works together with the courts as part of the care court assistance and gives an opinion on whether care is required, for example, and who can be considered as a legal guardian. It is also possible to have your own power of attorney certified by the care authority.

The Network for Health and Self-Help (NeGeS), whose office is located at the public health department, invites you to this lecture. This network primarily aims to support the work of self-help groups, but the lecture is open to all interested parties and is free of charge.
