There are around 400 "transparent productions" in Baden-Württemberg. From May to October, 22 businesses in the Ludwigsburg district are also inviting visitors to a total of 16 events. The spectrum ranges from guided tours of fruit and vegetable farms to insights into livestock farming, tastings and wine tastings. Visitors get to know dedicated farm manager families who are looking forward to lively interest and mutual exchange.

With the "Transparent Production" state campaign in the Ludwigsburg district, participating farmers, winegrowers and producers make their agriculture tangible. Consumers gain valuable insights into modern working methods and the importance of regionality. This transforms abstract concepts such as sustainability and biodiversity into a lively and enjoyable experience.

Start in May with a varied focus
Friday, May 1, 2026, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 2, 2026, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m:
Farm festival with the Schmalzried family in Vaihingen/Enz-Horrheim
On the Schmalzried family farm, visitors can get to know a wide range of agricultural activities including arable farming, viticulture, laying hens, Scottish Highland cattle and direct marketing. For the "transparent production", the family offers a guided tour of the farm with a tour of the fields every day (May 1 at 1 pm, May 2 at 3 pm, please register at melanie.schmalzried[at]t-online.de ).
Children can pet and feed the highland cattle. On May 1 there will be a veal sausage breakfast from 10 am to 12 noon, followed by hot food, drinks, coffee and cake; hot food and drinks will be available on May 2.

Farm festival at the Schäfer organic farm in Ingersheim
The Schäfer family runs an organic farm with vegetable growing and arable farming. They sell their own vegetables directly via the farm shop and the weekly market. Visitors can get to know a young organic farm with exciting ideas and a lot of passion during the "transparent production". Among other things, the family offers a signposted tour of the greenhouses with supervised stations. There will also be a marketplace with regional companies. The live band Pulverdingen9 will be playing in the hall on Saturday evening and there will be a bouncy castle for children. There will be barbecue delicacies, salads and drinks for refreshments. Coffee and cake will also be available on Sunday. The Hofladen is open on Sunday from 12 noon to 6 pm.

Day of the Hohenhaslach wineries
The winegrowers of the Hohenhaslach wine village invite you to a joint event. With exclusive vineyard tours, cellar tours and wine tastings, the participating wineries will showcase their expertise and passion. Visitors can look forward to an individual "Glass Production" program at each winery. Live music on Saturday evening, a children's program and a wide range of delicacies round off the offer.
