Shaping a colorful future

With the support of Kreissparkasse, the Ludwigsburg District Office is providing coloring books and crayons. Children of families displaced from Ukraine can use them to shorten the waiting time - and hopefully color in a colorful future.

Two women stand together, smiling and holding colorful sticker activity books. One woman has long hair and wears a light blue suit, while the other has shorter hair and wears a black dress. They are in a bright, modern indoor setting with natural light.

Children can borrow the books or take them with them both at the asylum information point and at the registration office for displaced persons from Ukraine. They can also use the crayons provided to shorten the waiting time while their parents are given the necessary forms.

Spokeswoman Isabel Kurz comments on Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg's extensive commitment to helping Ukraine: "Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg helps Ukrainian refugees in many different ways. With the coloring books, we now want to make a valuable contribution to bringing some color into the lives of the little ones and to bridge the time during the necessary conversations of the parents in the district office."

Kreissparkasse has already been supporting the district administration office for several years in equipping social workers and translators with the know-how for current banking and financial topics. "We are also in close contact with the district administration office to find accommodation as quickly and pragmatically as possible."

Since mid-May, the Schiller Adult Education Center (vhs) has been offering an integrative German course for teenagers and young adults from Ukraine at the recently opened pop-up store ZUKUNFTSRAUM in the former Ludwigsburg bookshop Aigner in cooperation with Stadtwerke Ludwigsburg-Kornwestheim. The free course prepares students for the B1 language exam. In addition to the teaching materials, the Kreissparkasse is providing the vhs with the urgently needed room for the course free of charge.
