Head of Department Andreas Eschbach welcomes Hungarian school group to the district hall

This year, the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium (FLG) in Asperg is once again welcoming a group of students from its Hungarian partner school, the József Attila Gimnázium in Monorim County Pest, partner district of the Ludwigsburg district. A total of 23 pupils, including eleven Germans and twelve Hungarians, as well as accompanying teachers are taking part in this year's exchange.

A group of 22 people, including students and adults, pose together in a room with wooden walls and flags in the background. They are smiling and dressed casually, standing in two rows. The setting appears to be an official gathering.

Today, Wednesday (October 16, 2024), Head of Department Andreas Eschbach welcomed the international group to the district hall. "The student exchange between the two schools, which has existed since 2002, has established itself as an important part of the school partnership and not only promotes intercultural understanding, but also personal connections between the young people," said Eschbach.

The German pupils from the FLG already had the opportunity to visit Monor in September. Now the Hungarian group is making a return visit. The week in Germany is packed with a varied program: on Monday, the guests from Hungary took part in lessons at the FLG, followed by a guided tour of Hohenasperg. On Tuesday, a joint excursion to Heidelberg was on the agenda.

Another highlight awaited the Hungarian guests on Friday - a visit to the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. The group will stay in Asperg until Saturday before returning home to Hungary.
