Head of Department Andreas Eschbach welcomes Hungarian school group to the district hall: "It is very important that such encounters between young people take place"

"School partnerships promote mutual understanding and the growing together of Europe. Especially in today's world, which is characterized by many wars, it is very important that such encounters between young people take place," said Andreas Eschbach, Head of the District Office's Central Management and Schools Department, as he welcomed a group of Hungarian pupils to the district hall on Monday (17 April).

A group of individuals stands together in a formal setting, displaying a mix of casual and professional attire. They appear engaged and are positioned in two rows with some individuals holding flags in the background, suggesting a celebratory or official occasion.

The visit is part of the exchange between the Friedrich-List-Gymnasium Asperg and the József Attila Gimnázium Monor in Pest County, which has existed since 2002. Two Hungarian teachers as well as principal Jürgen Stolle and former teacher Renate Stiefel from Friedrich-List-Gymnasium Asperg accompanied the group.

In his brief welcome address, Andreas Eschbach emphasized that the district of Ludwigsburg has maintained good relations with Pest County for many years: Friendly ties have existed since 1992, and the official partnership was sealed in 2000. Eschbach added that the partnership between the two schools was therefore a source of great pleasure. "Preserve this partnership - we as a district will continue our support for it."

The program for the Hungarian group's visit includes sightseeing in Ludwigsburg and an excursion to Heidelberg.
