The S60 will continue to run from Böblingen to Leonberg. The S-Bahn night service and the early trip to the airport will be discontinued.
Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG
The special SSB timetable will be extended from Monday, April 20 and will then correspond to the vacation timetable. The U8, U16, U19 and U34 lines will be back in operation. The light rail service will run every 10 minutes between around 6.30 am and 8.30 pm. Early in the morning until 6.30 a.m. and in the evening from 8.30 p.m. until the end of service, trains will run every quarter of an hour.
Bus services will resume on all routes (except for emergency buses and school buses), including the express bus routes X1, X2 and X7. The city center bus lines will run every ten minutes from around 6.30 am to around 7 pm. All other bus routes will run at their usual frequency during rush hour. The night buses still do not run.
At weekends, the normal Saturday and Sunday timetable applies for buses and light rail services.
Regional trains
The regional trains will continue to operate according to the reliable basic service and will generally run every hour. Service on the Schusterbahn between Stuttgart-Untertürkheim and Kornwestheim will continue to be suspended. There will also be no night services at weekends.
Esslingen city transport
The Esslingen municipal transport company continues to operate according to the vacation timetable. This means that the buses will operate according to the regular timetable, but there will be no special school trips.
Ludwigsburg city transport
The bus company LVL Jäger, which operates the city transport service in Ludwigsburg and Kornwestheim, operates according to a vacation timetable. This means that, in line with the increased frequency of the S-Bahn, buses on routes 421, 422, 425 and 427 only run every 10 minutes from around 6 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and from around 3.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Otherwise, these routes run every 20 minutes during the day.
Bus services in the Verbund districts
From Monday, April 20, the published vacation timetable will once again apply to regional buses. The buses will therefore run according to the usual timetable, but the special school trips will not take place.
Due to the continuing contact restrictions, the leisure bus routes will not start operating on May 1st.
Secondary lines
The Schönbuchbahn will continue to run every 30 minutes, in the evening from 7.30 p.m. it will only run every hour. The Strohgäubahn, the Tälesbahn and the Wieslauftalbahn will operate according to the published vacation timetable from Monday, April 20. This means that the regular timetable will apply, but the special school trips will still be canceled.
The Wieslauftalbahn will operate as usual. However, on nights from Friday to Saturday and Saturday to Sunday, the last train will not run after midnight.
The Teckbahn continues to run every hour as usual.
RELEX
The timetable for the express bus lines X10, X20 and X60 remains as usual.
The VVS recommends that passengers check their connections via the timetable information (EFA) in the "VVS mobil" app or via vvs.de. The timetables valid from Monday will be available there from Friday morning.

Observe hygiene rules - VVS recommends mouth and nose protection
In many areas of public life, there will be situations in which the minimum distance cannot be maintained at all times. This will also be the case on buses and trains when more people in employment and soon also schoolchildren travel on the VVS. In order to further reduce the risk of infection, the VVS is following the recommendation of the German government and the Robert Koch Institute to wear a simple face mask in public spaces where social distancing cannot be guaranteed (e.g. public transport).
In addition, the VVS appeals to its passengers to urgently follow the known hygiene rules. It is also important that passengers spread out over the entire length of the train and bus.
Background information:
The transport companies in the VVS are also struggling with scarce personnel resources as a result of the coronavirus. The timetable has therefore been significantly reduced in recent weeks. Despite the restrictions, there was a reliable basic service for passengers. The alternative would be the unplanned cancellation of journeys when employees in the transport service or from the workshop are ill or in quarantine. As things stand today, the staffing situation in transport operations has eased somewhat. (ps)
