In order to create a common thread through the exhibition, a large bracket was created between Gisela Postert's large-format painting entitled "CORONA", which contrasts harmoniously with the brick wall in the foyer in bright blue, and her other works, which are shown on level 8. Connections have also been created between the individual levels. First of all, these are connections in terms of the colorfulness, the expressiveness of the artworks: the aforementioned work by Postert mixes strong colors - here the blue - with graphic elements. And so the view continues in level 3 to the works of the late artist Monika Adams-Steegmaier, whose works show harmonious curves, wrested from intuition, which form delineated fields in rich colors. Level 4 follows on harmoniously from this: further works by Monika Adams-Steegmaier as well as the works of her husband Hartmut Steegmaier can be found here. In his colorful paintings, geometric landscapes and illusions playfully grow out of angles - a game with the effect of geometry and color that is also found in the corrugated cardboard collages by Isabell von Wedel on level 5. Here the figures seem to be in motion, as can be seen from the title of one of her works, "Motion in blue" - here the blue is the "red thread". The colors are less expressive here, the works become more figurative.
Level 6 takes up the concrete, the figurative and shows the human figure in time and space. Bettina Kohlen's sculptures and sculpture groups fascinate with their sculptural depiction of the human body's locomotor system. The movement is not only suggested here, but is almost tangible. Before the bracket is closed with Gisela Postert's paintings on level 8, visitors can see works by Ute Kunze on level 7, which are thematically elusive, both figurative and concrete and playful and blurred, taking them into nature. With titles such as "A day of art is coming to an end. Much still needs to be processed mentally", Kunze takes the viewer into his own world of thought.
For the first time, there are QR codes on selected works of art, which can be used to obtain further information about the artworks and the artists.
