At the Landkreisfeschd: Lecture by bestselling author Jan Hegenberg as a climate protection highlight - preceded by a klimaPLAN_Besigheim workshop on climate protection

Let's assume that things weren't better in the past - but will be in the future: what would the ideal world of 2040 look like in terms of fossil fuels, mobility and food? And would it be practicable? Bestselling author Jan Hegenberg ("Der Weltuntergang fällt aus") will give a presentation at the Landkreisfeschd on Sunday, June 25, 14:00 to 15:00 (admission from 13:45), in the Kreishaus Ludwigsburg, Hindenburgstr. 40, first floor, room 238 (free choice of seats), with facts and a good pinch of humor, on how we can tackle the energy transition and live climate-neutrally in 2040. Beforehand, a klimaPLAN_Besigheim workshop will take place at the same location from 11:00 to 12:00 on how climate protection can succeed.

A man with dark hair and a beard is smiling slightly, looking to the side. He is wearing a black sweater against a dark background, creating a soft and warm atmosphere. The expression conveys a sense of thoughtfulness and contentment.

In the foyer of the Kreishaus on June 25, the Bücherlurch bookshop will have a stand on the topic of climate protection, where visitors can have their copy of "Der Weltuntergang fällt aus" signed after the lecture.

Jan Hegenberg studied business administration and then worked in the IT sector. In 2009, he decided to go vegan and discovered his love of writing. A few years ago, he founded the blog Der Graslutscher (The Grass Sucker) to refute the bogus arguments circulating on the internet against a plant-based diet. Today, he runs it full-time and publishes scientifically sound and humorous information and media criticism on the subject of the food, energy and transportation transition. The father of three lives in Wiesbaden.

Prior to this, on Sunday, June 25, a workshop by klimaPLAN_Besigheim will take place at the Landkreisfeschd from 11:00 to 12:00, also in room 238 on the first floor of the Kreishaus, Hindenburgstraße 40. The announcement says: "When we look to the future, we quickly lose our courage. And then there's the whole issue of climate protection: expensive, ineffective, strange. The team from the Besigheim citizens' initiative klimaPLAN does not want to leave it at that. For them, climate protection is a leitmotif of urban development. Those who tackle climate protection create a better quality of life for young and old. Those who make the streets greener, the distances shorter and the neighborhoods stronger create districts with added value. At an interactive lecture/workshop as part of the district festival, klimaPLAN will show how all this can work, howCO2 can be saved and why it is important to solve the issues of our time locally in the municipalities."

Participation is free of charge, but places are limited. Please register in advance by to: daniela.klein[at]landkreis-ludwigsburg.de. Interested parties will receive feedback afterwards.

klimaPLAN_Besigheim is a non-partisan citizens' initiative. The group aims to raise awareness of the need for climate protection through events and campaigns. It wants to show that climate-friendly behavior starts on a small scale, is fun and means a gain in quality of life.
