District Councillor and former First Mayor of Remseck Karl-Heinz Balzer celebrates his 70th birthday on Monday (December 30, 2024). District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier congratulates him in a letter. It says: "I would like to thank you very much for your valuable commitment to the district council and the various committees for over 25 years. Your expertise, your wealth of experience in local politics as a mayor for many years and your open and helpful manner are appreciated beyond the boundaries of the parliamentary groups."

Karl-Heinz Balzer was a member of the district council from 1994 to 2009 and has been a member of the district council again since 2014. He is a member of the Environment and Technology Committee, the Social Affairs Committee, the Council of Elders and the Association Assembly of the Strohgäubahn Special Purpose Railway Association. He was awarded the district's Medal of Merit in 2009 and the bronze Medal of Merit of the Baden-Württemberg District Council in 2019. The head of the district administration also paid tribute to Balzer's work as First Mayor of Remseck: "During your 29 years in office as First Mayor of the large district town of Remseck am Neckar, you always worked competently and successfully for the good of the town with great commitment, assertiveness and empathy and made Remseck an attractive place to live for families." District Administrator Allgaier wishes Balzer "all the best and, above all, good health".
