Offices, associations and clubs showcase opportunities for migrant women in Marbach am Neckar

Migrant women take off - under this motto, the town of Marbach a. N, Steinheim, Erdmannhausen and Benningen, together with the district of Ludwigsburg, the employment agency and the job center, recently invited women to an information and exchange event in the Marbach town hall. Refugees as well as other immigrant women from Marbach and the neighboring towns and municipalities of the city came to find out about the services on offer for entering the world of work, social participation and integration.

A spacious indoor venue filled with people engaging at informational booths. Attendees gather around tables displaying brochures and materials, while others converse. The atmosphere suggests an event focused on sharing resources or services, with a diverse group of participants actively interacting.

The information event "Migrantinnen starten durch!" attracted numerous visitors to the Marbach town hall (Ludwigsburg district office).

Text reads: "Migrantinnen starten durch!" is a phrase advocating for the empowerment of migrant women, encouraging them to move forward and thrive. The design features a circular outline surrounding the text.

After the welcoming address by the integration officers of the town of Marbach, Cornelia Keiper, the municipality of Erdmannhausen, Katharina Fischinger, the municipality of Benningen, Donat Mavleev, the town of Steinheim, Petra Schilde, and the welcoming address by the integration officer of the Ludwigsburg district, Dalya Abu Daqqa, two women with a migration background who have been living here for some time reported on their personal experiences.

They made it clear that integration is a long-term process that requires perseverance, patience and persistence and does not happen overnight.

28 exhibitors provided information on a wide range of topics

Abu Daqqa then explained the "Integreat" app, which provides important information on topics relevant to everyday life such as language, education, health, career and family in various languages.

After the stage program, the hall was opened. 28 exhibitors welcomed the women. The information stands ranged from offers from the employment agency, the job center and the equal opportunities officer to potential employers such as retirement and nursing homes. Language schools and sports facilities were also represented in the town hall.

"A pleasant atmosphere and the offers put together for them inspired the visitors. The participants were able to benefit from the one-to-one discussions that followed," reports Abu Daqqa, Integration Officer for the Ludwigsburg district.
