Transparent production: Farm festival with the Schmalzried family
As part of the state's "Transparent Production" campaign, the Schmalzried family will be opening the doors to their farm in Horrheim on May 1 and 2, 2026 and inviting visitors to a varied farm festival. There is a lot to discover on the farm: from arable farming and viticulture to laying hen husbandry, Scottish Highland cattle and direct marketing, guests will gain exciting insights into a diverse agricultural sector.

The Ludwigsburg District Office's Child Day Care Competence Center is taking part in the nationwide Child Day Care Action Week under the motto "Well looked after in child day care". At two information stands and an online event, the team will be providing information about child day care - for those interested in becoming a childminder as well as for parents looking for suitable childcare.
