Two German-Israeli school groups visit the Kreishaus

Two German-Israeli school groups visited the district hall this week. Head of the Main Office Hubert Burkart welcomed 24 students from Emek Hahula High School and Alfred-Amann-Gymnasium Bönnigheim on Monday morning. On Thursday morning, Heiner Pfrommer, Head of Social Affairs, welcomed the Israeli group of students from Har VaGai Regional High School and Robert-Bosch-Gymnasium Gerlingen to the district building. Both Israeli schools are located in the Upper Galilee, the partner region of the Ludwigsburg district.

A diverse group of about 25 young adults is gathered in a room, wearing matching hoodies. They are posing together around a table, with some flags in the background. The atmosphere appears friendly and celebratory, indicating a group event or gathering.

A diverse group of around 30 young adults and four adults pose for a photo indoors, smiling. They stand in front of a backdrop featuring national flags. The setting is casual, with participants wearing various clothing styles, showcasing a sense of community and camaraderie.

Heiner Pfrommer, Head of Social Affairs, and Hubert Burkart, Head of the Main Office, began by briefly introducing the district of Ludwigsburg and the district administration. "We are proud to have a total of four school partnerships with the Upper Galilee region. The encounters between young people are important for getting to know each other better, breaking down prejudices and gaining new experiences," said Hubert Burkart, head of the district administration. Head of Social Affairs Pfrommer emphasized the importance of international networking: "Student exchanges often lead to real friendships that last for many years. You can benefit from the experience you gain during the exchange for many years to come. I wish you a great time in the district of Ludwigsburg and many enriching experiences." Finally, both groups of students were able to sign the district's guest book.

The district of Ludwigsburg has maintained friendly contact with the Upper Galilee region in Israel since 1983, and in 1997 the partnership was officially sealed with partnership certificates. In the meantime, four schools in the Ludwigsburg district have entered into a school partnership with the Upper Galilee region: Ellental-Gymnasium Bietigheim-Bissingen, Robert-Franck-Schule Ludwigsburg, Alfred-Amann-Gymnasium Bönnigheim and Robert-Bosch-Gymnasium Gerlingen. Regular student exchanges and youth meetings are at the heart of the partnership work. At the end of September, a large Israeli delegation led by District Administrator Giora Salz visited the district of Ludwigsburg.
