In its 75-year history, the Sportkreis has always evolved and adapted to current issues and social changes, noted District Administrator Allgaier. In particular, the integration of refugees, the inclusion of people with special needs, the founding of the Sportkreisjugend and the introduction of the sports pass for children who are not yet in a sports club are important milestones on the path to the future.
Another core task of the Sportkreis is to support the clubs in developing new offers in popular and health sports for people of all ages. Like many clubs, the sports district has also felt the particular challenges of recent years: "The commitment of the sports district continues to be important, because the coronavirus pandemic and the social trend towards flexibility are making it increasingly difficult to attract and retain members in clubs," said Allgaier.
The District Administrator thanked the Sportkreis President and the Head of Sportkreisjugend, Kay Bäumges, for their commitment as well as all full-time and voluntary workers for their dedication to the well-being of sport in the Ludwigsburg district. "I wish the Ludwigsburg sports district all the best and continued success as well as many committed and enthusiastic athletes!" concluded the district administrator.
