Heat Pump Week: Reliable and sustainable heat for the district

The nationwide campaign week "Heat Pump Week" started on Monday. As part of the series of events, regional institutions in more than 75 districts are inviting people to a total of around 300 events. The district of Ludwigsburg is also taking part from November 4 to 10 and is offering citizens the opportunity to find out more about this versatile heating technology. The focus of the series of events is the free information day on November 8 at the Kronenzentrum in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Mühlwiesenstraße 6, from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm. In addition to an exciting program, the market of regional energy experts offers the opportunity to find out about special regional features and ask individual questions.

"Heat pumps are a key technology for efficiently and reliably supplying the majority of buildings in our district with heat from renewable energies in the future. Take this unique opportunity to obtain comprehensive information on how you can convert your heating system for climate-neutral and efficient operation," emphasizes Dietmar Allgaier, District Administrator of the Ludwigsburg district.

"Why are heat pumps so important for our district? Do they even work for my building?" Many people ask themselves questions like these. In Bietigheim-Bissingen, regional energy experts will take the time to answer them from 2:30 to 6:00 pm. Interested parties can take advantage of a 15-minute energy consultation on site and discuss their individual issues in person. Under the motto "simply inform", there will be insights into topics such as function, costs, funding opportunities, advice and the installation of heat pumps. Events are also suitable for interested professionals and some are specially designed.

Heat pumps as a reliable solution for areas without a central heat supply

Greenhouse gas emissions in the district of Ludwigsburg are largely caused by the provision of heating energy and hot water. With the Building Energy Act (GEG), the German government initiated the switch to more climate-friendly heating systems. From mid-2028 at the latest, the use of at least 65% renewable energy will be mandatory for all new heating systems. In areas where no central heat supply through district or local heating networks is planned, heat pumps in particular can and should be used to cover heating requirements using renewable energy. Heat Pump Week gives homeowners in particular the opportunity to find out more about the possibilities for implementing heat pumps in their buildings and to play an active role in shaping the heating transition.
