Due to rising corona infection and incidence figures: Blühendes Barock must close its doors on April 19 until further notice

The district administration's exemption for the opening of the Blühenden Barock (BlüBa) in Ludwigsburg will not be extended due to the current coronavirus situation. This was agreed on Thursday by District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier and Prof. Uwe Lahl, Head of Office and Ministerial Director at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration. Accordingly, BlüBa must close its doors on April 19 until further notice. This also corresponds to the expected provisions of the updated Corona State Ordinance, which is based on the cabinet bill for the federal emergency brake and will also come into force on April 19.

The reasons for the decision are the continuing rise in infection and incidence figures as well as the high and rising number of patients in the intensive care units of the hospitals. District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier: "The decision was not an easy one for us, especially as I am still convinced that it was right to keep BlüBa open until now by means of a special permit. However, the new Corona Ordinance of the state of Baden-Württemberg, which will come into force next Monday, and the tightening of the Infection Protection Act introduced by the federal legislator in the parliamentary procedure no longer allow BlüBa to be opened any further." According to the district administrator, it was clear that the previous opening would be subject to a critical review at regular intervals and always taking into account the pandemic situation, incidence figures and the situation in the clinics.

District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier: "We have to assume that the 7-day incidence will soon exceed the 200 mark. This is a new and aggravated situation for the district of Ludwigsburg, which will have an impact on schools, daycare centers and many other areas. This is also emphasized by the head of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration Baden-Württemberg, Prof. Dr. Uwe Lahl: "Closing the BlüBa is also necessary for reasons of equal treatment. In view of the current situation, protection against infection must be the top priority."
