Change in the district council: Benjamin Traa replaces district councillor Markus Kleemann - "Committed to Europe with great conviction"

District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier bid farewell to District Councillor Markus Kleemann at the meeting of the district council on October 24, 2025. Kleemann is leaving the committee because he moved away from the district of Ludwigsburg in connection with his election as mayor of the city of Sindelfingen and therefore lost his eligibility for the Ludwigsburg district council. At its meeting, the district council decided that Benjamin Traa from Großbottwar would replace Kleemann.

The former mayor of Oberstenfeld, Markus Kleemann, had been a member of the district council and the district's culture, school and European committee since 2019. He has also been a member of the school advisory board since 2024. "Your drive, down-to-earth attitude and flair for people have left a noticeable mark on the municipality of Oberstenfeld. We have always solved problems together in a good and constructive manner and I have greatly appreciated working with you as mayor," said District Administrator Allgaier. The head of the district administration continued: "As a district councillor, you were one of the most committed when it came to maintaining our partnerships. As a district councillor and mayor, you have stood up for Europe with great conviction and have lived the European idea: open, uniting, committed." Allgaier concluded by thanking Kleemann for his six years of voluntary work in the district council and emphasized that his departure would leave a noticeable gap - both in the committee and in the partnership work.

Benjamin Traa will replace Kleemann as a district councillor and become a member of the Culture, Education and European Affairs Committee.
