From graffiti to ink art: up-and-coming artists are given a stage in the Kreishaus

A new exhibition has moved into the district administration office as part of Kunst im Kreishaus. The exhibition #11 GRAFIKA was officially opened on Thursday.

A woman in a blue suit stands at a podium, speaking to an audience. Behind her is a display featuring various artistic designs and the words "KUNST im Kreishaus." The audience is engaged, with their backs visible.

Bettina Beck opened the new exhibition Werkschau #11 GRAFIKA in the Kreishaus (Ludwigsburg District Office) on Thursday evening.

"We are delighted to be experienced not only as an authority but also as an exhibition space through these unique exhibitions," said Bettina Beck, Head of Finance for the Ludwigsburg district, at the opening of the new show of art in the district hall. "Art has the power to initiate change. It can also inspire political, social and cultural movements and help to overcome barriers," continued Beck. The exhibiting artists do just that: Touch people, reflect on complex issues and stimulate thought.

Artists Claudia Fuchs, Dominik Stelzner, Nataliya Gurevich and Simon Löchner will be presenting their works on the floors of the Kreishaus until May 2. From graphic art, ink drawings, graffiti paintings, digital art and art inspired by graphic design to politically and socially relevant themes, the current exhibition offers a variety of artworks.

Works by young artists from the region on display

"With the new art exhibition "GRAFIKA", we can now implement the new concept of the art exhibition series Art in the Kreishaus, which was decided two years ago, for the first time," explains exhibition director and curator Lisa Cocimano. Young, up-and-coming artists from the region and contemporary forms of art will be given a stage in the Kreishaus.

"I am delighted to be able to realize this exhibition with four inspiring, outstanding and fascinating artists and I look forward to welcoming many interested, loyal and new visitors to the vernissage and the art tours," Cocimano continues.
