Complete closure of the K 1669 from mid-April: Remseck-Hochdorf through road to be renovated

The K 1669 Remseck-Hochdorf through road is being renovated in the area of Affalterbacher Straße on behalf of the Ludwigsburg district administration. As part of the work, the water pipe and part of the sidewalk will also be repaired on behalf of the town of Remseck am Neckar.

A detailed map displays a construction detour route around Re- Hochdorf, highlighting roads connecting Marbach, Affalterbach, and Bietigheim. The route is marked with a blue line, while the construction section is indicated in red. Key locations and surrounding areas are also labeled for navigation.

Work will begin in mid-April and is expected to be completed in August 2024. The section must be fully closed for the duration of the construction work. Access to the properties will be impossible or only partially possible during this period, and footpaths will also be affected by the closure. In order to minimize the impact on local residents, the work will be divided into three subsections of around 150 m each. This will reduce the number of residents directly affected by the road closure to a minimum.

Detour and modified bus routes are in place

Two detour routes will be signposted. Traffic coming from Remseck-Hochberg will be routed via the K 1673 and the K 1909 via Bittenfeld and the K 1849 as well as the L 1127 to Affalterbach and back to Remseck-Hochdorf.

Traffic from Ludwigsburg-Poppenweiler will be diverted via the K 1695 via Marbach and the L 1127 to Affalterbach and back to Poppenweiler.

During the construction period, bus routes 402 and 402A will run from Hochberg via Bittenfeld back to Hochberg. The bus stops Hochberger Straße in the direction of Hochberg, Wilhelmsplatz, Sonne and Wendeplatte will not be served. An alternative stop will be set up at the corner of Bittenfelder Straße and Hohenacker Straße. Further information can be found on the notices at the bus stops or at www.vvs.de.

Numerous damages in the road surface make renovation necessary

The construction site is the second section of several construction measures between Remseck-Hochdorf and Affalterbach that have been necessary for a long time. The renovation of the road section is urgently needed because the road surface has a large amount of damage and can no longer cope with the current traffic load.

The district is covering around 43 percent of the costs of 1,000,000 euros and the town of Remseck am Neckar around 57 percent.

The renovated K 1673 (Poppenweiler Straße) in Remseck-Hochdorf was already opened to traffic on March 15. All asphalt layers there were completely renewed due to insufficient thickness and severe damage. The town of Remseck has also been involved here with the renovation of the water pipes and sidewalks. As part of the remaining work, the missing markings still need to be applied here, which is being done while traffic is moving.

The next section to follow the renovation of Affalterbacher Straße is the interurban connection between Hochdorf and Affalterbach in two construction phases.

The district administration office asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the obstructions and restrictions.
