Tuesday, February 4, 2025: Women's health and mindfulness
The topics of women's health and mindfulness will be covered in the first seminar on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm. The first part is all about breast health. Midwife Irmfried Pilz-Buob will discuss various aspects of breast health. A short version of the MammaCare method will be presented and each participant will be able to carry out practical palpation exercises using special breast models to get a feel for changes in their own breasts. In the second part, Sonja Ohren, social pedagogue at the Ludwigsburg district office and relaxation pedagogue, will go through practical exercises on the topic of "mindfulness" with the participants. Participants should bring a yoga mat.
Tuesday, 25 March 2025: Colorful and affordable family cooking
The second seminar entitled "Colorful and inexpensive family cuisine" - cooking together in a parent-child workshop" will take place on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mittlerer Neckar Nutrition Center in Hindenburgstr. 30/1 and will be led by Miriam Hettler, Home Economics Manager. Together with their parents, children from the age of six prepare a variety of dishes from regional and seasonal foods. In the workshop, family-friendly, tasty, healthy and inexpensive dishes are conjured up in no time at all, which are then tasted together. All recipes are provided in the workshop booklet for cooking at home. Please bring an apron, tea towel and storage container.
In addition, the consumer advice center BaWü e.V. offers an online lecture (edudip) on the topic of "Healthy and affordable shopping" for all interested parties on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Participants will receive the link to the event by email.
Tuesday, May 13, 2025: Self-defense and self-assertion
Maik Syring is offering a two-hour violence prevention course on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. In addition to legal, tactical and psychological aspects of defense, participants will also learn situational action training in which they can put the knowledge they have learned into practice. After a brief legal input, tactical work continues. Questions such as "What options do I have in difficult situations?" or "How can I protect myself?" are discussed. Participants also learn simple self-defense techniques. In the next part of the course, participants analyze their own signals, facial expressions, gestures and posture. At the end, realistic role plays are played out in which the participants learn to choose the most effective option so that everyone can leave the seminar stronger.
Tuesday, July 8, 2025: Exchange - how to succeed in my everyday life
The fourth seminar entitled "Exchange - how to succeed in my everyday life" will take place on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. and will be moderated by Sonja Ohren. In a relaxed atmosphere, participants will get to know each other better, network and share tips and tricks they have used to make their everyday lives work well. The exchange is the top priority, topics arise in conversation or can be indicated when registering.

"Help for single parents" advice center provides advice by phone and in person
The "Help for Single Parents" center, room 518 (level 5) in the Ludwigsburg district building, Hindenburgstraße 40, also offers telephone and personal advice as well as open consultation hours on Mondays from 9 to 11 am. Advice is available there without an appointment.
Kaffee Frieda", a meeting place for single parents and their children, takes place in the group room 237 of the Kreishaus on Thursdays from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. It offers attractive activities and play opportunities for the children as well as information on all questions and topics that the participants bring with them. The next "Kaffee Frieda" dates are January 9 and 30, 2025, February 13 and 27, 2025, March 13 and 27, 2025, April 10, 2025, May 8 and 22, 2025 and June 5 and 26, 2025.
The open meeting point for single parents with children aged 10 years and older will take place on January 14, February 25, May 6, July 1, October 14 and December 2, 2025 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in room 237.
