Coping with separation - how does it work? Offer of the Psychological Counseling Center: Registration deadline on October 19

Under the title "Mastering separation - strengthening children", the Ludwigsburg district psychological advice center is once again offering free group training for separated or divorced parents in cooperation with Caritas Ludwigsburg. The group is intended for ten to twelve participants. The introductory event will take place online as a web seminar on October 26 from 9 am to 12 pm. A further five dates will follow weekly on Thursdays from 9 am to 12 pm. The group training aims to provide those affected with help to cope with the situation and find new solutions.

Self-reflection can reveal new options

Separations or divorces are difficult and stressful situations for parents and children. Nevertheless, it is important to come to an understanding and minimize the negative effects, especially on the children. This is where the seminar comes in: The group training aims to accompany those affected through this difficult phase and provide help with which a separation situation can be better managed. By looking at one's own behavior in a more objective context, new options for action can be discovered and solutions found. It is about maintaining communication between the parents, the needs of children in separation situations and tips on how a separated couple can fulfill their parental role well.

Training is free of charge

The titles of the six modules of the parent training course are: "Separation and opportunity", "Conflicts and solutions", "My child and the separation", "Staying parents - part 1", "Staying parents - part 2" and "Future model working team". Only one parent can take part in the group at a time. Materials help the participants to implement the content in their everyday lives. Participation in the parent training is free of charge.
