The vaccination centers in the large district towns of Bietigheim-Bissingen, Ditzingen, Kornwestheim, Ludwigsburg, Remseck am Neckar and in the municipalities of Korntal-Münchingen and Oberriexingen can now book appointments with the new Nuvaxovid vaccine without restriction. The restriction to healthcare professions and professions that care for people in need of care and people with disabilities no longer applies.

Nuvaxovid is an inactivated vaccine that has a different mode of action to the current mRNA vaccines. However, the new vaccine no longer only has to be available for the population groups for which vaccination will be mandatory from March 16. According to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Social Affairs, anyone and everyone can now be vaccinated with Novavax.
