With almost 400,000 fruit trees, the district of Ludwigsburg is still a stronghold of orchards today. Unfortunately, some owners can no longer afford to look after their orchards and the harvest remains unused. At the same time, however, it can be observed that more people - including many young people - are returning to the orchard tradition of Württemberg and developing an increasing interest in fruit growing. The demand for orchards to use the harvest, to lease or to buy is fortunately increasing again.
For more and more people, caring for orchards and harvesting orchard fruit is a way of balancing their everyday working life. These are young families, for example, who would love to look after a meadow orchard and harvest the fruit to press their own fruit juice, but do not have their own plot of land and are therefore on the lookout. The purpose of the Internet orchard meadow exchange for the Ludwigsburg district is to bring buyers, tenants, service providers and farmers together more easily.
Private individuals or associations can advertise free of charge at www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.streuobstwiesen-boerse.de. All they have to do is fill out an online form on the website. After a check by the exchange operator, the advertisement is activated for 100 days. It can then be easily extended. It should be noted that the orchard meadow exchange was primarily designed for non-commercial advertisers.
