Roadworks on the K 1669: Next section begins in mid-July - First section reopened to traffic

The construction work to renovate the K 1669 district road between Remseck-Hochdorf and Affalterbach is entering the next phase. After the first construction phase between Affalterbach and the Siegelhausen access road was successfully completed and opened to traffic on June 30, 2025, the second construction phase between Remseck-Hochdorf and the Siegelhausen access road will start on July 16, 2025. It should be completed by November 2025.

A roadblock is featured with a red and white barrier, and a circular road sign indicating 'no entry.' There is a yellow sign pointing to the right labeled "Umleitung," which means "detour" in German. Several warning lights are positioned at the top of the barrier.

The road section must be fully closed to traffic during the entire construction period. The inner city section of the K 1669 in Affalterbach is expected to be reopened in the course of Tuesday, July 15, 2025. This means that most of the district road has been repaired.

Work is being carried out on the out-of-town road, the district road 1669 between Remseck-Hochdorf and Affalterbach in the area from the Hochdorf exit to the Siegelhausen access road. The section of road affected includes the K 1669, the access road to Siegelhausen, the adjoining country lanes and the bus turning loop. Cars, trucks, cyclists, pedestrians and bus traffic are affected by the full closure.

During the construction work on the bus turning loop at the end of Hochdorf, which is also being made barrier-free, the "Hochdorf Wendeplatte" bus stop cannot be served for several weeks.

Complete closure and detour

Two detour routes have already been signposted. Traffic from Remseck-Hochberg will be routed via the K 1673 and the K 1909 via Bittenfeld and the K 1849 as well as the L 1127 to Affalterbach and back to Remseck-Hochdorf.

Traffic from Ludwigsburg-Poppenweiler will be diverted via the K 1695 via Marbach and the L 1127 to Affalterbach and back to Poppenweiler.

Notice to road users

The construction costs for the current section between Siegelhausen and Hochdorf amount to around 900,000 euros. Around 94 percent of the funding is being provided by the Ludwigsburg district. The town of Remseck am Neckar is responsible for converting the bus stop.

The Ludwigsburg District Office asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the upcoming traffic obstructions and restrictions. The work, which starts on July 16, is the final stage of the K 1669 renovation, which has been underway since September 2024, and is an important step towards improving the transport infrastructure in the region.
