Ground-breaking ceremony for the extension to the "Im Länderrain" cloverleaf house in Tamm

The ground-breaking ceremony for the extension to the "Im Länderrain" cloverleaf house in Tamm took place on Tuesday afternoon (October 8). "In future, more citizens from Tamm will be able to be cared for in their home community according to their needs," stated District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas. He continued: "The district is delighted with Kleeblatt Pflegeheime gGmbH's commitment to meeting the needs of the district. We certainly see the particular challenge for the providers."

The head of the district administration emphasized that the "Im Länderrain" facility is very centrally located and therefore at the heart of the community. The home currently has 24 fully inpatient care places in ten single and seven double rooms. The extension will remove the double rooms and convert them into single rooms. After the conversion, the facility will have 30 care places. "The Kleeblatt is thus implementing the standards of the state home construction ordinance and is positioning itself for the future - at the same time, there will be an increase of a further six care places in the home, which we urgently need in the district," said District Administrator Haas. Even if it is sometimes complained that the state home building ordinance forces the providers to make structural changes, the single room requirement formulated in the ordinance is what almost all people in need of care would want, Haas concluded.

The "Im Länderrain" facility in Tamm is one of the first cloverleaf facilities in the district. It was opened in January 1992. The extension will have 13 single rooms for nursing care. In addition to the care places, 26 owner-occupied apartments for older people will be created on the first and second floors of the extension.
