Certificates, books and book vouchers for participants and winners
All participants in the current district final received a certificate and the book "Die wundersamen Talente der Kalendario-Geschwister" by Louisa Söllner (Ueberreuter Verlag). Kreissparkasse Ludwigsburg also sponsored a movie voucher for each participant. The three winners also received the book "RES wants to go home" and a Thalia voucher worth 25 euros, while the runners-up were rewarded with a 15-euro Thalia voucher.
The reading competition, which inspires around 600,000 sixth-graders every year, is one of the oldest and largest competitions for schoolchildren in Germany. It is organized by the Book Culture and Reading Promotion Foundation of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association and aims to promote enthusiasm for books, strengthen children's reading skills and develop their openness to new ideas.
