Wolfgang Ulshöfer worked at the Robert-Franck-Schule in Ludwigsburg for a total of 34 years, eleven of them as principal. Ulshöfer will retire on July 31. A farewell party was held in his honor on Friday. Around 160 guests came to bid farewell to the principal.
In his speech, District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier paid tribute to the principal's great commitment both in and out of school. "You have achieved a great deal during your time in office and have left your own personal mark on the Robert-Franck-Schule," Allgaier addressed Ulshöfer. Those around him had always perceived him as a "very reliable, extremely friendly, appreciative and committed principal". "You have always taken your role as principal, as a role model for your colleagues and pupils, seriously."
Claudia Rugart, President of the Stuttgart Regional Council, emphasized Ulshöfer's outstanding commitment and the exchange with Israel. "You have simply done the school and the people at the school good. Your values, your advocacy of respect and human rights, are also evident in your tireless commitment to the student exchange program between your school and the Anna Frank School in the Upper Galilee in Israel, which has been running for over 30 years," said Rugart in her speech.
