The federal and state governments urgently point out that a positive rapid or self-test requires immediate isolation and a PCR confirmation test. Such a PCR test can be carried out free of charge. Close contacts may also be obliged to quarantine. They will be informed of this by the public health department. In any case, members of the infected person's household must go into quarantine immediately.
"The Ludwigsburg District Office has compiled an overview of where citizens can get tested. The result is a continuously updated list on our homepage, which can be used to quickly find out where the nearest testing facility is located," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.
The overview can be found on the homepage of the district website in the "Coronavirus" box under "Overview of current testing options in the municipalities" and directly at lra-ludwigsburg.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html. If you click on the markers on the map, a pop-up window will appear with the name, address and contact details of the test center.
The drive-in test center of the district administration office at the MHP Arena in Ludwigsburg is also open to the general public: From now on, anyone willing to be tested can get tested there free of charge from Monday to Saturday between 9.30 am and 12.00 pm by making an appointment in advance. Appointments can be made by calling the hotline on 07141 144-96100. For special groups such as teachers, cluster pupils, paramedics and police officers, the test center remains open on the same days from 7.30 am to 9.30 am. The tests at the drive-in test center at the MHP Arena are free of charge. By opening the test center at the MHP Arena to all citizens, we want to support the testing strategy of the federal and state governments as a building block in the fight against the pandemic," said District Administrator Allgaier.
