The Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance will activate all available warning devices nationwide at 11 a.m. on this day. More than 100 sirens will also be switched on in the Ludwigsburg district at 11 am: The warning signal "One Minute Howl" means in an emergency: "There is an immediate danger in the area or this danger is to be expected shortly. Use all possible information media for further instructions, these are broadcast by all local and regional radio stations. Follow the official instructions." At 11.45 a.m., the all-clear is given with the signal "One minute continuous tone", which means: "There is no longer an acute danger. Use all possible information media to obtain further information."
Some towns and municipalities in the district do not have sirens: Ludwigsburg, Kornwestheim, Korntal-Münchingen, Marbach, Vaihingen and Freiberg am Neckar. Eberdingen is not connected to the general disaster alarm network with its sirens.
On this year's nationwide warning day, a test warning message from the Cell Broadcast service will be sent out again. Mobile devices must be switched on for this and must not be in flight mode. No all-clear is given via Cell Broadcast.
