PCR rapid test device procured: district supports schools with upcoming Abitur exams

Pupils in the graduating classes with a positive rapid test need a negative PCR test in order to be able to take part in the upcoming Abitur examinations. It is therefore a good thing that the district of Ludwigsburg was able to procure a device for the rapid evaluation of PCR tests last week. This device has been ready for use at the Ludwigsburg District Vaccination Center (KIZ) since Monday (3 May).

District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier has informed the school principals about the new offer. "We are pleased that the district is able to support the schools in this way during the coronavirus period in carrying out the Abitur examinations. We wish you and everyone involved every success for the upcoming exam weeks," said Allgaier.

The Bosch PCR rapid test device will be used for testing at the KIZ Ludwigsburg from Monday to Sunday. Schools can make appointments by telephone. The test subjects and school administrators will be informed of the results immediately by telephone and email. The certificate is scanned and sent by email. Positive PCR tests are reported to the public health department. Test capacities are limited as only one device is available. The device reliably determines the PCR test result in 39 minutes - otherwise the test result takes one to two days.
