If you want to spend the holidays actively, you can hop on your bike: The cycle paths in the district invite you to exercise in the fresh air. Whether easy or more challenging routes, short excursions or longer tours - there is something for everyone. The map "Cycling in the district of Ludwigsburg" offers a wide selection of cycle tours in the district.

Jubilee cycle path: gathering new impressions around the district

Symbolically inaugurated in April 2024, the anniversary cycle path stretches over a length of 162 kilometers and leads through 21 district municipalities along the district border of the Ludwigsburg district. The three stages are ideal for exploring the varied landscape of the region. Important to know: Some sections run along forest paths, which is why the route is only suitable for racing bikes to a limited extent.

Actively experience art on the ART LOOP sculpture cycle path

Embedded in the charming landscapes of the Stroh and Heckengäus, this tour leads through the municipalities of Schwieberdingen, Eberdingen and Hemmingen. Along the route, cyclists will come across a total of seven sculptures by artists from the Künstlerbund Baden-Württemberg e.V.. The works invite you to pause and engage in "looking, feeling, sensing and thinking".

Glemsmühlenweg - get to know the diversity of the district (anew)

The Glemsmühlenweg leads from Glemseck near Leonberg to Markgröningen-Unterriexingen. Cycling enthusiasts will pass a total of 18 mills over a distance of around 36 kilometers. A special feature of this tour is the varied landscape: the route leads through forests, farmland and dry grassland as well as sections with wetlands and orchards.

Celtic trail invites you to enjoy history in motion

The Celtic Trail is around 34 kilometers long and connects nine important historical sites in the district of Ludwigsburg. The route leads through various villages from Asperg to Ditzingen, passing impressive burial monuments and archaeological excavation sites along the way. A special highlight along the route is the Celtic Museum Hochdorf/Enz. With its reconstructed Celtic village complex and the replica of the Celtic prince's burial chamber, it offers exciting insights into the world of the Celts.
