The aim of the cooperation is to attract, recruit and retain international skilled workers. To this end, the chambers provide their members with comprehensive advice on the topic of skilled worker immigration and accelerated skilled worker procedures. They also provide support in compiling the necessary documents. Within the area of responsibility of the Ludwigsburg district office, they then forward the documents to the immigration authority of the district office. They can then initiate all the necessary steps directly without losing time by requesting missing documents. The cooperation partners are convinced that this will offer companies more transparency and significantly speed up the duration of the process.
"With this agreement, the opportunities created by the accelerated skilled worker procedure can be exploited even more effectively. Until now, the companies concerned have complained about the considerable length of the process and the prolonged uncertainty for everyone involved when they want to hire foreign skilled workers," emphasizes Sigrid Zimmerling, Managing Director of the Ludwigsburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
"Thanks to this cooperation, foreign skilled workers can be integrated into the labor market much more quickly in the future," explains Nicole Ackermann, Managing Director of the Ludwigsburg District Chamber of Skilled Crafts. "Together, we chambers offer a very comprehensive and transparent advisory service. Directly following on from this, the Ludwigsburg District Office can then initiate the accelerated procedure with legal certainty."
District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier sees this agreement as a win-win situation: "With the preliminary clarification and submission of the necessary documents by the chambers, we gain capacity for the actual decision-making process. This in turn benefits the applicant companies, as it enables us to achieve our goal of supporting companies from our district in their search for urgently needed international skilled workers more effectively and quickly."
The cooperation between the three partners will start directly in August 2024 and will include information and advice on the legal options for skilled worker immigration and the recognition of foreign professional qualifications, as well as support in carrying out the accelerated skilled worker procedure and compiling the necessary documents. The chambers act on behalf of the company and forward the complete documents to the district administration office. The district office immediately starts the recognition procedure, then obtains approval from the Federal Employment Agency and, if successful, issues preliminary approval for the visa to be issued. In addition, the companies receive information and contact points from the chambers regarding onboarding, qualification measures to adapt professional skills from abroad and integration of international skilled workers in the company.
