Online cooking course "Taste the organic model region during Advent"

A regional and seasonal winter menu will be prepared on 03.12.2021 from 5 p.m. in the Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart organic sample region - in keeping with the Advent spirit. Together with the Middle Neckar Nutrition Center, the Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart organic sample region is offering to cook a winter menu from regional and seasonal organic ingredients on 03.12.2021 from 5 pm. The cooking course will be broadcast live from the kitchen of the nutrition center and participants will cook along in their kitchens at home. In addition to tips on kitchen practice, they will learn interesting facts about regional organic farming. To leave enough time for shopping for seasonal ingredients at the weekly market or in the farm stores of regional organic farms, participants will receive the list of ingredients and information on regional sources of supply in advance.

Background to the Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart organic model region

The organic model region Ludwigsburg-Stuttgart is made up of the district of Ludwigsburg and the state capital Stuttgart. The funding of the organic model regions by the Ministry of Rural Areas and Consumer Protection includes the position of a regional management and measures to "activate the area".

Figures on organic farming in the region: Organic funding applied for via the funding program for agri-environment, climate protection and animal welfare (FAKT) 2020: 69 farms in the district of Ludwigsburg and the state capital Stuttgart have applied for organic funding via FAKT, which corresponds to an area of 2,200 hectares.
