"It is remarkable how, year after year, the Ludwigsburger Geschichtsblätter (Ludwigsburg history journals) provide new and exciting aspects of the rich history of our region," said District Administrator Allgaier at the handover. He thanked Klaus Herrmann and the entire Historical Society for their valuable work in preserving and maintaining the district's historical heritage. Allgaier assured that the district would continue to support the publication of the history journals and thus the work of the association in the coming year.

Focus on the Peasants' War and the region's role in the Württemberg uprising

The 224-page volume is divided into five content-rich articles. In this year's edition, which marks the 500th anniversary, there is a particular focus on the Peasants' War and its significance for the region. The district and the town of Großbottwar in particular played an important role in the Württemberg uprising. The two articles by Sophie Froehlich and Albrecht Gühring examine various aspects of this topic.

The volume also contains further essays on the effects of the Thirty Years' War west of Ludwigsburg by Konstantin Huber, on the history of brewing in the area of today's city of Ludwigsburg by Günther Bergan and on the doll collection of Tony Schumacher - a report on the exhibition in the Ludwigsburg Museum by Anna Rudi and Manuel Schönberg.
