Background:
The implementation of the Biodiversity Enhancement Act, which came into force in July 2020, causes considerable additional work for the lower administrative authorities in terms of advice and also in the implementation of specialist law. The state of Baden-Württemberg will therefore provide the districts with corresponding funding from 2022 to increase the number of staff at the lower administrative authorities. This has made it possible to create a new advisor position for biodiversity in agriculture in the Department of Agriculture.
