"The brochure is a valuable tool to support our local agriculture and at the same time make it easier for consumers to access fresh, regional products. With it, we are promoting regional value creation and strengthening the connection between producers and consumers," said District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier at the launch.
Information about direct marketing businesses, agriculture and nutrition
The direct marketer brochure, which has been around since the 1990s and was last updated in 2019, is revised every few years. It contains extensive information about direct marketing businesses in the district of Ludwigsburg, supplemented by important consumer and nutrition tips. For example, the brochure includes a seasonal calendar, a weekly market overview and information on the origin of eggs and meat products. It also includes information on the late harvest market and the nature park market.
"With this new edition, we have further optimized the content of the brochure and presented the data on the farms in an even more appealing modern layout. We want to offer both farmers and consumers real added value," explained Luise Pachaly, Head of the District Office's Agriculture Department, whose staff played a key role in the new edition. "Because local direct marketers stand for regionality, quality, freshness and trust," continued Pachaly.
In addition to the press, numerous direct marketers represented in the brochure and the Heilbronn-Ludwigsburg Farmers' Association were invited to the launch. After the official part of the event, there was an opportunity for a tour of the farm and for discussions and exchanges over a small drink. The guests were also able to take away free copies of the new brochure to pass on to interested consumers.
Brochure now available free of charge
The first edition of the brochure was produced in 1993 in collaboration between the district and the district farmers' association. It has been published by the Ludwigsburg district since 2007.
The brochure "Taste the district! Shop and enjoy directly from the farm" is now available at the Mittlerer Neckar Nutrition Center and is distributed free of charge. In a few weeks, it will also be available in town halls, at direct marketing businesses and at various markets in the district.
In addition to the new edition of the direct marketer brochure, the online presence has also been given a new look: An interactive online map, which provides consumers with information about direct marketing businesses on the go, has been updated. Further information on the brochure and the online map can be found at www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/de/landratsamt-landkreis/wirtschaftsfoerderung/direktvermarkter/.
