The district had once again applied to the Ministry of Regional Development and Housing for the "Gaining space through inner development" funding program and has now received a funding commitment of EUR 40,000. "We still urgently need more affordable housing in the district. I am therefore delighted that the state has approved funding for our project," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.
Four municipalities in the district benefited from the first project
The first project already helped four municipalities in the district - Besigheim, Bönnigheim, Marbach and Möglingen - to identify potential for inner development and vacancies and to develop activation approaches for inner areas.
Over the next two years, the new project will help other municipalities to create affordable housing through inner-city development. The new project will be implemented from the beginning of 2024 to the end of 2025. It will be supported by the IfSR Institute for Urban and Regional Development.
