Correct heating leads to significantly lower emissions
"Many of us associate wood-burning stoves with coziness, but they contribute to particulate pollution and emit greenhouse gases such as CO2 - with consequences for health and the climate. Stove owners can reduce emissions by using them correctly. That's why we are very pleased about the cooperation with the Ofenakademie," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier. Ludwigsburg's Lord Mayor Dr. Matthias Knecht explains the benefits: "The Ofenakademie complements existing measures to reduce particulate matter in Ludwigsburg. I find it particularly positive that the educational program is available digitally. Interested parties can thus obtain information at a low threshold and at any time and apply what they have learned directly in practice."
Participants receive a stove driving license
The online course provides easy-to-understand information on what is particularly important when heating with wood. There is a short test at the end, and those who pass it receive a stove driving license. In addition to the positive effects on the environment and climate, participants save money in the long term, as less wood is required for the same heat yield and maintenance costs are reduced.
It pays to be quick: 500 free online courses are now available
The online course costs a one-off fee of 39 euros. The course is free of charge for the first 500 registrations from the region. Interested households from the district can request a free access code via the following link: www.ofenakademie.de/landkreis-ludwigsburg/. For residents of the city of Ludwigsburg, the link is: www.ofenakademie.de/stadt-ludwigsburg/.
