The number of cases in the district has risen sharply in recent days. In the last seven days alone, there have been 1,817 confirmed COVID-19 cases - the 7-day incidence recently rose to 333.4. The reporting figures are significantly higher than in all previous waves. The primary goal is therefore to vaccinate as many citizens in the district as quickly as possible. The existing range of vaccinations offered by doctors in private practice is no longer sufficient to meet the high demand for vaccinations.
The first MITs of MVZ Dr. Kolepke and colleagues in the district will start on Monday, November 22, in Affalterbach and Erligheim. In addition, an MIT from Heilbronn will be on the road from November 29 and an MIT from the state, which has already been confirmed, from December 1. In the future, the six additional mobile teams requested by the state will cover the six large district towns in the district with one location every day. The locations are still being coordinated with the towns.
"We are working flat out to deploy as many teams as possible and distribute them sensibly so that citizens everywhere in the district are offered low-threshold vaccination services - vaccination should be as easy as possible," said District Administrator Allgaier about the new vaccination task force. The task force will be headed by district fire chief Andy Dorroch, who was already the overall head of the district vaccination centers. In order to ensure close coordination with doctors in private practice in the district, Dr. Carola Maitra will be represented on the task force as chairwoman of the medical profession. The head emergency physician and medical director of the central disaster control department of the RKH clinics, Dr. Stefan Weiß, is also involved in the coordination with the district.
