District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas congratulated him on this with a letter. It reads: "You have been a member of the district council and various specialist committees for 25 years and have helped shape the development of the district. Social issues and the situation of children and young people in the district are particularly close to your heart. You support the good cooperation with the independent child and youth welfare organizations and are always open to new ways of promoting social issues."
The District Administrator continued: "For many years now, you have been the chairman of the district association for the Ludwigsburg district, and I greatly appreciate your positive, constructive and also personally very pleasant manner - both in chairing the mayors' meetings and in our numerous personal encounters. Your constructive attitude in many matters benefits the towns and municipalities as well as the district. With great skill, expertise, composure and humor, you have held the office of mayor for almost 30 years and have made Besigheim an attractive, lively town and a popular tourist destination." As mayor and a convinced European, Bühler "cultivated the partnership with the town of Ay with great courage and steadfastness as an important part of the municipal partnerships in the district", said Haas.
The head of the district administration thanked Bühler warmly for his commitment as mayor and district councillor for the benefit of the district and wished him "all the best on his special day, but above all good health - enjoy a wonderful celebration with your family, friends and acquaintances".
