District Administrator Dr. Haas welcomes members of the German County Council's Environment and Planning Committee

The German County Council's Environment and Planning Committee met on Monday and Tuesday in the county hall. District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas, who as Chairman of the Environment Committee of the Baden-Württemberg Landkreistag is himself a member of this committee, welcomed 22 committee members.

A group of 16 professionals stands together in a formal setting, featuring a central table with an open book. They are dressed in business attire, displaying a mix of suits and ties, with some women in blouses. Flags are visible in the background. The atmosphere suggests a collaborative or ceremonial event.

He was delighted that the 61st meeting of the committee was taking place in Ludwigsburg and said: "We have some highly topical issues on the agenda, such as the conclusion of the 'Equal Living Conditions' commission, climate protection and microplastics on artificial turf pitches." Other topics included housing and construction in rural areas as well as cooperation with the federal authorities involved in the site selection process for a nuclear waste repository. There was an exchange on environmental policy with Ministerial Director Helmfried Meinel from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for the Environment, Climate and Energy. Another guest of the committee was Barbara Ettinger-Brinckmann, President of the Federal Chamber of Architects. After the first day of the meeting, the committee members took part in a guided tour of Ludwigsburg Palace.
