KuSEA as a guest at the German Literature Archive Marbach

As part of its annual external meeting, the Culture, Education and Europe Committee (KuSEA) of the Ludwigsburg district visited the German Literature Archive in Marbach. The aim of these special meetings is to introduce the committee members to important cultural institutions in the district. The initiative for the visit to the Literature Archive came from within the district council.

Eine Gruppe von etwa 20 Personen steht im Freien vor einem Gebäude mit großen Fenstern. Die Teilnehmer sind unterschiedlich gekleidet und lächeln. Die Umgebung ist grün und die Atmosphäre wirkt freundlich und einladend.

Before the KuSEA meeting, the district councillors were given exciting insights into the Rike exhibition and the Schiller National Museum (Ludwigsburg District Office).

Eine Gruppe von Menschen steht in einem Ausstellungsraum vor großen Fotografien an der Wand. Eine Person spricht zu den Anwesenden. Das Ambiente wirkt informell und fördert den Austausch über die ausgestellten Werke.

The tour, which lasted around an hour, included both museums in the building: the Rilke exhibition and the Schiller National Museum (Ludwigsburg District Office).

Before the meeting began, the members of the KuSEA were given an exciting insight into the German Literature Archive as part of a guided tour. They were welcomed by Steffen Schmidt, Deputy Director and Head of Administration of the Literature Archive.

The tour, which lasted around an hour, included both of the archive's museums: the Rilke exhibition and the Schiller National Museum. The participants were able to experience the cultural diversity and the outstanding importance of the Marbach site for the history of literature in an impressive way.
