Unemployment can make you ill, and poor health makes it more difficult to return to work. In order to break this vicious circle, Kathrin Falke, head of the job center in the Ludwigsburg district, and Klaus Hage from the AOK Ludwigsburg-Rems-Murr, in his leading role on behalf of the GKV Alliance for Health, have signed a corresponding cooperation agreement.
"Interlocking work and health promotion in the communal living environment" is a project funded by the GKV Alliance for Health to improve the health situation of unemployed people. The aim is to provide them with suggestions and ideas for a healthy lifestyle and to sensitize and motivate them to adopt health-promoting behaviour.
Based on the actual needs of the target group, tailor-made health offers have been and are being developed in the district of Ludwigsburg. These include offers in the areas of exercise, relaxation/stress management and nutrition. The online courses "Vital back and neck" and "Vitalizing mindfulness" are currently running. Advice on the topics is offered in advance.
Necessary regulations during the pandemic are taken into account at all times. Unemployment benefit II recipients have the opportunity to receive vouchers or flyers that they can redeem for one or more offers, or with which they can register themselves without any hurdles.
Unemployed people who take part in a prevention or health promotion program in accordance with § 20a SGB V do not have to pay any participation fees. Participation is voluntary. It is also not important with which health insurance company someone is insured.
