"Alongside child daycare facilities, child daycare is an important and indispensable pillar of early childhood education, care and upbringing," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier. The form of care provided by a suitable childminder is legally equivalent to child daycare facilities. It can take place in the home of the day carer, in the parents' home or in other suitable premises. Here, the children receive care, education and upbringing in a family setting and based on the needs of the families. Care contracts under private law are concluded between the parents and the childminders. The public funding of the care relationships requires a suitability check and qualification of the childminders.
